Seth R. Hancock, Associate Attorney
Seth R. Hancock is an Associate Attorney with the Kraut Law Group where he uses his skills and desire to obtain top results for his clients. At the Kraut Law Group, Mr. Hancock practices exclusively criminal defense. He specializes in both misdemeanor and felony crimes and works tirelessly to stop criminal charges against clients prior to prosecutors filing charges. Prior to joining the Kraut Law Group, Mr. Hancock worked as a Deputy Public Defender in the prestigious Los Angeles County Public Defender's Office, where he gained valuable experience as a trial attorney and advocate for his clients. In addition to his tenure as Deputy Public Defender, Mr. Hancock also worked as an appellate and post-conviction criminal defense attorney, first in private practice, and then as a Staff Attorney with the Project for the Innocent in Los Angeles. In that capacity, Mr. Hancock consistently obtained substantial relief for his clients. He was the first attorney in Los Angeles County to win a re-sentencing hearing pursuant to Senate Bill 1437 (Penal Code section 1170.95). He had numerous similar victories, including his work on a case that resulted in his wrongfully convicted client's conviction being vacated after she spent 11 years in state prison.
Mr. Hancock's primary goal as an attorney is to represent each and every client as zealously and as passionately as possible. He takes great pride in offering a voice to his clients and does everything that he can to mitigate the fear and stress that his clients endure as a result of facing criminal charges.
Mr. Hancock graduated with high honors from California State Polytechnic University, Pomona, where he majored in English Literature and Language, with a minor in philosophy. He then attended Loyola Law School in Los Angeles where he received his Juris Doctor degree with a concentration in criminal justice.
